Hay

We grow Tifton 85 Bermuda grass hay as well as Coastal Bermuda hay in our own fields. 40 acres of it is planted in Tifton 85 and 30 acres is planted in Coastal. We have recently added about another 20 acres of Tifton 85.

Each year, before hay season begins, we have our soil tested by Texas A&M University Soil Service to determine the type of fertilizer application needed. We apply a blend of granular fertilizer containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potash each spring and after each cutting for highest nutrition. We do not graze cattle or horses in any of our hay fields. Weed control is also a priority. Careful monitoring of grass and soil allows us to keep production at premium levels cultivating protein rich Bermuda hay bales that foster good health for horses, cattle, sheep, and goats.

Our Coastal grass hay is available in round bales only.

Tifton 85 Bermuda grass hay, we offer square bales for convenience and easier handling or round bales for greater economy.
